What led you to become an Egg Donor?

I have a friend who tried her best to have a baby with her husband but they were unable to conceive on their own. They found out about egg donation and were able to have a baby thanks to an egg donor. I saw the struggles they went through trying to have a baby, and I also saw the joy and excitement they had once they found an egg donor and got pregnant. This is why I chose to be an egg donor.

Who was your most significant support person(s) throughout your journey?

My most significant support was my mom. She was very understanding and helpful through this whole process.

What made you decide to be closed/semi-open/open with your Intended Parents?

I actually leave that decision up to the Intended Parents. I would love to always be open, that way we can communicate with each other but if they prefer to be anonymous, that is fine as well.

Do you have advice for women who are interested in becoming an Egg Donor?

My advice would be to go ahead and try it; if you don’t like it, you don’t have to donate again. This was something I was very nervous about, but FSC and the nurses make everything so easy and comfortable that you blink and it’s over. Also, even if things get a little uncomfortable, you have to remember that you are turning a couple into a family. You are changing a couple’s life by giving them something that no one else can. This was something that made me feel so honored and grateful when I was chosen by the Intended Parents.

I would just like to thank Family Source Consultants for approving my application to be an egg donor with their company. I love working with FSC. You all are so helpful and on top of everything. This experience with FSC has been wonderful and I can’t wait to donate again. I will definitely refer anyone that I know who maybe interested in egg donation to Family Source Consultants. Thank you, guys!
