Meet Kayle!

“Seeing my Intended Parents for the first time in person and seeing them with their babies brought so much happiness to my heart.”

Q: What led you to become a Surrogate?

I have family that has dealt with IVF and miscarriages, but could never afford adoption or surrogacy. Because of that, I knew in my mind and heart that I was meant to help a couple with their family goals. I have my own children and couldn’t be happier. Knowing I can help someone else enjoy that gift gives me hope for the world to come.

Q. Who was/is your largest support person/s throughout your journey?

My husband, Michael, is my biggest supporter. He was worried in the beginning when I told him this is what I wanted to do for someone who deserves the gift like we have. He was there for every shot, appointment, and birth. He is my rock and my best friend.

My sister was also a big supporter. She would bring me food when I needed it. Plus, she’d watch her nephews if I needed help or didn’t feel well. I would be lost without these two.

Q. What made you decide to choose your Intended Parents?

When I saw they were from Ireland, I thought that was the coolest place on earth. As it turns out, I am also Irish, so I knew we would be a perfect match.

Our first Skype was amazing when they didn’t mind my children in and out of the call, nor when I had to make lunch while Skyping. They laughed and smiled the whole hour and a half. From then on, every text and Skype call seemed like a match made in heaven. I couldn’t ask for a better couple to carry for.surrogate spotlight: kayle

Q. What are some of the highlights of your journey?

The biggest highlight was when the first ultrasound showed twins. My Intended Parents didn’t believe either embryo would stick and were in tears when I showed them their babies. Seeing their faces during the 20-week ultrasound was so emotional and beautiful.

My husband even got teary watching their faces of joy and tears over their babies moving as they learned the twins were a boy and a girl. Seeing them for the first time in person and seeing them with their babies brought so much happiness to my heart.

Q. Do you have advice for women who are interested in becoming a gestational surrogate?

Be patient and expect the unexpected. Also, don’t give up or beat yourself up if it seems like you failed. It will happen, but it just takes time to make something so perfect.

Q. How was this pregnancy different from your other pregnancies?

It was different because I was carrying twins. Also, I was induced with my other pregnancies, but with the twins, I went into labor on my own, which I prefer. Carrying twins took a lot out of me, but was well worth the experience.
